AI Image could not be generated when preview locked

I noticed that the Generate AI Image feature couldn’t be used when the post preview is locked. It was a little confusing because the AI response states that I need at least one channel selected; however, I did have one channel selected, but it doesn’t specify that the icon needs to be unlocked for that post. So I think some clarity would be helpful to understand why the AI Image couldn’t be generated outside of the channel being selected.
